GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) Club

Grades 3-4

Dates and Time: Mondays in May (May 5, 12 & 19, 2025); 3:45 - 5:30 pm

Cost: $30

Location: Mr. Wilkes' Room  Rm:20

Class Structure (Including Snack Time) and Topics:
Students are expected to bring a water bottle and their own after-school snack to eat at the beginning of each class while they are being introduced to the topic of the day. Students are responsible for cleaning up after they eat and/or participate in activities.
May 5 - Estimate Length and Volume: Are your guesses correct? Prove it!…and learn about the fractions printed on your new tape measure!
May 12 - Think Like a Mathematician: Multiplication & Shapes - Tips, Tricks, Patterns & Prefixes
May 19 - The Three Little Pigs: Exploring Strength and Structure of Buildings and Materials

 

Pickup at the end of each class day is at 5:30 pm at the Comstock parking lot. Any students not picked up will be brought to Aftercare.

 

As a reminder, your student is not officially enrolled in the club until a club registration is completed and the club fee is paid in full.
